The Mac and PC versions are a single download (all parts as one). The Android version is the only one that is split so that it fits in the < 2 GB apk restrictions found there.
I just finished playing today and I have to admit this is my personal fav so far even beating out Eternum as I love the characters waaaay too much. It's amazing how make me annoyed at nearly every character except Lucy and Akatsuki before making me fall in love head over heels with them. I am super smitten with Sarah and I really hope you don't fully forgone her original hairstyle for the cosplay one at the last scene. It's just preference really, and I love cute more than pretty. I am also impressed in how the subtle changes in Catherine's expression makes her from looking like a annoying bitch into a cute docile princess. All the characters interactions are so wholesome and really hits the spot for me, true to the name, super cosy. I truly can't wait to see what you're gonna cook up next and i hope it involves some more Sarah. Would also be nice if we can some of the girls who have their hair tied up throughout to let them down sometimes.
The dev has posted some hairstyle change attempts on discord in the past. Unfortunately, a lot of the characters' looks are tied to their hair, and some look like entirely new characters when it gets changed. So I would not expect it too often.
One reason it works for Sarah is because we know she does cosplay and styles her hair for it, so we are conditioned to still recognize her. I'm not saying it will never happen, just that for many girls it may be too big of a change to easily incorporate.
Thanks! And yeah, as littlextiger said, I have experimented wit hairstyle changes a bit, but with the game being made in a semi-anime style, a lot of the characters' identity comes from their hair, and changing it just makes them look like different people, unfortunately.
the one thing i hate about this story is it is too good. that is not an insult. it is so damn good that i literally fell in love with Sarah and Akatsuki. i really love those two, to the point that i wish they were real. and i genuinely felt heartbroken when Akatsuki left and felt such relief when she came back.
i hate that i love this story so damn much. on a scale 1 to 10, i give this a 1000 out of 10.

But I've played cosy like 5 times, it's great. Projekt passion, house in the rift, harem hotel, there's a few classics on that level, but like Eternum I really want to know the rest of the story with cosy cafe
Only complaint is misaki feels tacked on and takes away from the rest of the cast, wish we could skip her haha, and get Elizabeth and Annabelle finally involved or the main girls
I love this game man, from the fully interesting story, down to every characters micro expressions, this game is a full 10/10, I love it so much man.
My rankings for best girls go as such:
- Akatsuki

- Vicky
- Catherine (just cause I like her stubbornness and her devotion to her siblings)
- Misaki
- Hannah
- Akari (hoping she'll be the 9th gf at some point)
- Rachel (Just cause I have a theory that, while I could be wrong, would be funny if it became true)
- Alison (interchangeable with Rachel, but I just don't like Alison as much as Rachel)
If there are somethings I really hope to be right about, it's these few theories:
Alison is actually snaking us at the start, but gradually she comes around to actually liking the MC at some point.
Rachel has a R*pe fetish, and her way of going about it is being an Ultra Feminazi towards men, to the point that they want to force themselves onto her (this one is very obviously the weakest and most likely to never actually become true, but I just really like the idea that, the whole reason shes always on the MC, is because he wouldn't fall for her tactics, so she went about spying on the MC to get him to snap on her, and when he didnt use her as she would've wanted, or spanked her in the detention scene, and she ran out crying, was cause she started evaluating her fetish, and realized that it wasn't going to work for her, so now she has to change to win the favor of the MC.)
Anyways that's my thoughts on this game, it's really good man, I love it so muchan, and please if u could, make my Rachel theory a reality, it would be hella cash money of u if u did.

Not sure how I feel about this one, most of the people in the harem, are people who, by law, would be classed as vulnerable persons, and youth at risk, in my country... and a whole team of Rachels, some with weapons and full law enforcement powers, would be swarming the Cafe in jiffy, once anyone learnt of the harem I was building out of such people. At least in so far as they would investigate the situation at the bare minimum just to make sure there was no significant exploitation. Even as adults at 18, since they are all still school girls. Additionally, Allison and Misaki are wholly questionable, ethically speaking too. IDK that niggles me, even worse than forced fantasy play, incest play, and other dark, taboo, kinks in these kinds of games. Thats cultural, I am not sure this would be the case in the devs world. I can sit on that I guess.
But then if I do, what do I have? I aint gonna kinky shame... but the spanking... man oh man.. the spanking. Spanking Simulator 1.0 would be another appropriate name for this one. And BOY is it a SLOW BURN. I do NOT mind the story, aside from serious questions about the ethics of the MC seemingly exploiting the vulnerable. I got in to it. To a degree. The whole Pseudo Aristocracy thing. The Machiavellian nonsense which comes with it. I enjoyed seeing SOME depth to the characters, the girls anyway. Almost cared for Catherine.. the first time in an AVN I ever have, by the time we get the full picture of her circumstances. But MAN OH MAN, the game is pretty long already.. nothing wrong with that, I love it... but ultimately, for all that effort.. sure you get some oral play, some heavy petting, some digital play both ways... and a WHOLE LOT of spanking.. but you actually only get your end in, what, five times? Thrice with the same girl (though I do give kudos to the devs for one of them being in a semi-public place, and one wholly public).
Hours in, and you still aint gotten a taste of even one of the THREE redheads, for example, you are seducing in to your harem. OK, we can assume one might be hard to conquer, because she is just trying to please her sister... but by the end... the shortest surrendered everything else, why not that? And that sister? She is REALLY gaming the MC huh? Everything she does, is done for her own goals.. and not once, has the actual honey laid out, to catch the MC better than vinegar, been tasted, that honey pot, still untaken, untamed, and unbroken, and owned.
Also Misaki is going to cross all boundaries of the educators ethics, and surrender so wholly to the MC anyway, she should have been full clapped by then too, surely?
AVNs need to strike the right balance between the A and the N. They need the Novel's narrative, and to have some depth, and cool story, something fun, or funny, or deep, or even just interesting... but they ALSO need well paced, long, well blocked, well animated and 'shot', multi-phase A scenes that are on par with the story part, if they want to impress... because quality demands quality.
I feel this one, once you move beyond some 'Foreplay'...and yeah.. Oral is foreplay to this gamer.... and petting, toys, and promises... this one delivers... perhaps slightly less A quality, scene wise, and too little of them... to match the level of the story.
I think this game has potential.. if it will be as long again, or longer, when finished, than what we have thus far, there is time to fix things... but they need fixing. There needs to be MORE hardcore Adult scenes... full...s*x.. not just messing about, and they need to be done in a way which really lets the eye candy element come to the fore. Our Kitty in the shower, for example, was a scene which would be classed as 'Softcore' were it film, by most censors around the world. Getting further, faster, and more explicitly with girls is necessary for the people like me, who play these games for the A above the VN elements, to stick around and not get bored.
TBH, right now, this is like, maybe a 6/10.
I gave it a 3 star rating.

I just speak my mind. Having been a hardcore gamer, from ground level, day zero, I think I am experienced and expert enough for my own thoughts on a game to be of value to at least some. If other do not like it, no one says they must, but also, no one cares. I just want to A: help give constructive feedback to devs.. and B: inform other gamers what they are getting before the get it, even on games that free amateur works like the world of Adult Itch games.
If all I achieve is giving one dev some food for thought, or getting them to go in a new direction on one thing, or lift their game in one area.. or if I can inform just one person, as to if they want a game or not, or prepare them for what they are getting in to if they do get it... then I am happy with that. I do not care in the slightest what others think.
With how in-depth your reviews are you should make a game collection on itchio and add your reviews. This way when anyone clicks on your name they can check what games you like. I only made a collection because of the credit card company forced itchio to take down nsfw game search a few months ago a few games that have not changed the (Name your own Price) when Downloading is still being shadowed blocked I believe Dark Magic is one.
i see the whole thing differently the MC has a weakness but also a conviction he didnt go about aiming to seduce a bunch of girls, he meets girls some need some help and he creates a space for them to come out of their opressive families and realise who they really are and they just happen to fall in love with him in the process. reality is we are less than a month into the story the fact that he worked this fast with so many girls puts him on super power level i like that it goes slow to the H-scenes makes when it happens more rewarding. and to the dev please tell me theres a timeline to the next update
Sure, I get it. I just know that there is a lot of actual ethical considerations this would create.. the off ramp being he is also a high schooler, and classmate of the girls...BUT his ALSO being their boss... and then they being vulnerable youth, would, in many jurisdictions, still be something which possibly overrides that. These are school girls, who even at 18, would likely NOT be classed as independent from their parent(s) or guardian in my jurisdiction, who are also in compromised circumstances, and as I said, would be classed legally as vulnerable youth at risk in my country.
The expectation of propriety, and morality, in MY culture, would be HE DOES offer them that safe space, and help, but DOES NOT accept Romantic intentions, or sexual engagement, in return. Rather, explicitly avoiding that, at least for more than a month. Once they are out of school, and if they find other work, which is their primary source of income, and move out... THEN proceed with romantic explorations, then move in, take jobs again, and it proceeds along those lines... THAT would be seen as OK.
Offering them shelter, work, support, and safety, but then also spanking them, touching them sexually, taking oral sex from them, and even having intercourse with them, even if mutually consensual would be VERY problematic, and that definitely informs my view of the game.
As for the sex scenes.... I am a glutton... I want lots, and tbh, expect somewhat more than we have in any game this long.
Love the game, it's not rushed unlike the others, i also love the story, not to mention the design, and the MC isnt just some degenerate pervert with no respect for women.
I'm very much enjoying the game so far, but I have to be straight: I despise Rachel, and I really, really hope she does not become one of the girlfriends. I want her nowhere near our happy little harem, especially considering the limit we've been given on how many girls we can invite (though I wouldn't be surprised if that limit is expanded at some point).
So far Vic seems to be the only one willing to add Rachel and that's only for the sake of breaking her spirit. There are plenty of better options (probably more from the other founders, to help lend mc some clout)
Exactly! So many other girls have good chemistry with the MC and also get along with one or more girlfriends already. Almost anyone else in the cast would be more deserving of a spot in the harem. Rachel has repeatedly wronged both the MC and several of his favorite people, while showing virtually no remorse for her behavior. I would consider it a miracle if she's ever redeemed.

I'm afraid she will definitely be joining the harem eventually: she's one of the very original LIs I came up with alongside Lucy and Vicky. However, she has a lot of story and character development to go before that point; she isn't gonna be rammed in your face in her current form. I do realise that some people may never come around on her, but I'm certainly gonna try my best!

I'm glad to hear Rachel will eventually change her ways, but I do worry that even if she gets accepted into the group, her presence will be a constant reminder of the terrible things she's put us through. In most other harem AVNs it's usually not a problem since you can just reject any LI that you don't like, but in a kinetic novel you end up being forced to romance girls you don't want to, often at the expense of decreased focus on the ones you DO like.
I love this game so much. Especially the pace. Nothing feels rushed to me. I haven't reached the end of the current content yet. But I am already sad that I will soon.

I get these blue outlines around the eyes of every character, at first I thought it was eye shadow but everyone including the other guys have it. Is there a fix for this?
Have you played other Ren'Py games (many other visual novels)? I wonder if this is isolated to just Cosy Cafe, or Ren'Py in general. Checking my log file from a normal start, I see the same line about "Display Info: None", so that might not be the actual error.
However, on searching "renpy white screen crash" I found a renpy issue thread #6558 on github that mentioned this issue with NVidia xx60/xx70 cards running driver 576.xx or later. The NVidia tech mentioned that downgrading to 572.xx seemed to fix it, but personally that sounds more like a bandaid than a real fix. I didn't see a resolution for it in the thread. You mentioned being on a laptop, and it looks like you already tried to set Windows DPI/scaling to 100%. Did you try holding shift while opening the game to change renderers? Otherwise, I'm not really sure how to help.

Just finished my second play through. I really love this game! I can't wait for it to be updated! Some things I hope to see is the story to move to Sarah focused with a huge development in Catherine to tge point where we are almost in a relationship or in one. I hope Elizabeth is developed more. I also want to see Hannah come out of her shell. Im so excited for the next update! Anyone have a guess which women will take the final spots in the Harem? My guess is Elizabeth and Anabelle.
Elizabeth somewhat wants to collaborate, while Anabelle doesn't seem to have any hostility. My bet will be Rachel, considering what happened the last time we saw her

Not sure how I feel about this one, most of the people in the harem, are people who, by law, would be classed as vulnerable persons, and youth at risk, in my country... and a whole team of Rachels, some with weapons and full law enforcement powers, would be swarming the Cafe in jiffy, once anyone learnt of the harem I was building out of such people. At least in so far as they would investigate the situation at the bare minimum just to make sure there was no significant exploitation. Even as adults at 18, since they are all still school girls. Additionally, Allison and Misaki are wholly questionable, ethically speaking too. IDK that niggles me, even worse than forced fantasy play, incest play, and other dark, taboo, kinks in these kinds of games. Thats cultural, I am not sure this would be the case in the devs world. I can sit on that I guess.
But then if I do, what do I have? I aint gonna kinky shame... but the spanking... man oh man.. the spanking. Spanking Simulator 1.0 would be another appropriate name for this one. And BOY is it a SLOW BURN. I do NOT mind the story, aside from serious questions about the ethics of the MC seemingly exploiting the vulnerable. I got in to it. To a degree. The whole Pseudo Aristocracy thing. The Machiavellian nonsense which comes with it. I enjoyed seeing SOME depth to the characters, the girls anyway. Almost cared for Catherine.. the first time in an AVN I ever have, by the time we get the full picture of her circumstances. But MAN OH MAN, the game is pretty long already.. nothing wrong with that, I love it... but ultimately, for all that effort.. sure you get some oral play, some heavy petting, some digital play both ways... and a WHOLE LOT of spanking.. but you actually only get your end in, what, five times? Thrice with the same girl (though I do give kudos to the devs for one of them being in a semi-public place, and one wholly public).
Hours in, and you still aint gotten a taste of even one of the THREE redheads, for example, you are seducing in to your harem. OK, we can assume one might be hard to conquer, because she is just trying to please her sister... but by the end... the shortest surrendered everything else, why not that? And that sister? She is REALLY gaming the MC huh? Everything she does, is done for her own goals.. and not once, has the actual honey laid out, to catch the MC better than vinegar, been tasted, that honey pot, still untaken, untamed, and unbroken, and owned.
Also Misaki is going to cross all boundaries of the educators ethics, and surrender so wholly to the MC anyway, she should have been full clapped by then too, surely?
AVNs need to strike the right balance between the A and the N. They need the Novel's narrative, and to have some depth, and cool story, something fun, or funny, or deep, or even just interesting... but they ALSO need well paced, long, well blocked, well animated and 'shot', multi-phase A scenes that are on par with the story part, if they want to impress... because quality demands quality.
I feel this one, once you move beyond some 'Foreplay'...and yeah.. Oral is foreplay to this gamer.... and petting, toys, and promises... this one delivers... perhaps slightly less A quality, scene wise, and too little of them... to match the level of the story.
I think this game has potential.. if it will be as long again, or longer, when finished, than what we have thus far, there is time to fix things... but they need fixing. There needs to be MORE hardcore Adult scenes... full...s*x.. not just messing about, and they need to be done in a way which really lets the eye candy element come to the fore. Our Kitty in the shower, for example, was a scene which would be classed as 'Softcore' were it film, by most censors around the world. Getting further, faster, and more explicitly with girls is necessary for the people like me, who play these games for the A above the VN elements, to stick around and not get bored.
TBH, right now, this is like, maybe a 6/10.
I gave it a 3 star rating.

I just speak my mind. Having been a hardcore gamer, from ground level, day zero, I think I am experienced and expert enough for my own thoughts on a game to be of value to at least some. If other do not like it, no one says they must, but also, no one cares. I just want to A: help give constructive feedback to devs.. and B: inform other gamers what they are getting before the get it, even on games that free amateur works like the world of Adult Itch games.
If all I achieve is giving one dev some food for thought, or getting them to go in a new direction on one thing, or lift their game in one area.. or if I can inform just one person, as to if they want a game or not, or prepare them for what they are getting in to if they do get it... then I am happy with that. I do not care in the slightest what others think.
With how in-depth your reviews are you should make a game collection on itchio and add your reviews. This way when anyone clicks on your name they can check what games you like. i see the whole thing differently the MC has a weakness but also a conviction he didnt go about aiming to seduce a bunch of girls, he meets girls some need some help and he creates a space for them to come out of their opressive families and realise who they really are and they just happen to fall in love with him in the process. reality is we are less than a month into the story the fact that he worked this fast with so many girls puts him on super power level i like that it goes slow to the H-scenes makes when it happens more rewarding. and to the dev please tell me theres a timeline to the next update
Sure, I get it. I just know that there is a lot of actual ethical considerations this would create.. the off ramp being he is also a high schooler, and classmate of the girls...BUT his ALSO being their boss... and then they being vulnerable youth, would, in many jurisdictions, still be something which possibly overrides that. These are school girls, who even at 18, would likely NOT be classed as independent from their parent(s) or guardian in my jurisdiction, who are also in compromised circumstances, and as I said, would be classed legally as vulnerable youth at risk in my country.
The expectation of propriety, and morality, in MY culture, would be HE DOES offer them that safe space, and help, but DOES NOT accept Romantic intentions, or sexual engagement, in return. Rather, explicitly avoiding that, at least for more than a month. Once they are out of school, and if they find other work, which is their primary source of income, and move out... THEN proceed with romantic explorations, then move in, take jobs again, and it proceeds along those lines... THAT would be seen as OK.
Offering them shelter, work, support, and safety, but then also spanking them, touching them sexually, taking oral sex from them, and even having intercourse with them, even if mutually consensual would be VERY problematic, and that definitely informs my view of the game.
As for the sex scenes.... I am a glutton... I want lots, and tbh, expect somewhat more than we have in any game this long.

I'm very much enjoying the game so far, but I have to be straight: I despise Rachel, and I really, really hope she does not become one of the girlfriends. I want her nowhere near our happy little harem, especially considering the limit we've been given on how many girls we can invite (though I wouldn't be surprised if that limit is expanded at some point).
So far Vic seems to be the only one willing to add Rachel and that's only for the sake of breaking her spirit. There are plenty of better options (probably more from the other founders, to help lend mc some clout)
Exactly! So many other girls have good chemistry with the MC and also get along with one or more girlfriends already. Almost anyone else in the cast would be more deserving of a spot in the harem. Rachel has repeatedly wronged both the MC and several of his favorite people, while showing virtually no remorse for her behavior. I would consider it a miracle if she's ever redeemed.

I'm afraid she will definitely be joining the harem eventually: she's one of the very original LIs I came up with alongside Lucy and Vicky. However, she has a lot of story and character development to go before that point; she isn't gonna be rammed in your face in her current form. I do realise that some people may never come around on her, but I'm certainly gonna try my best!

I'm glad to hear Rachel will eventually change her ways, but I do worry that even if she gets accepted into the group, her presence will be a constant reminder of the terrible things she's put us through. Whatever you're planning with Rachel I'm looking forward to it. Catherine was pretty insufferable initially but you fleshing out her story and character has made her actually likeable. I don't like Rachel right now but you definitely get the benefit of the doubt.

In most other harem AVNs it's usually not a problem since you can just reject any LI that you don't like, but in a kinetic novel you end up being forced to romance girls you don't want to, often at the expense of decreased focus on the ones you DO like.

Afraid not - all of the images are pre-rendered, so there's no way to change them on the fly.

I recently downloaded Cosy Cafe on my Windows 11 Home laptop, but the game crashes immediately after starting. When I check the log, it shows:

Enabled all compatibility options for the game executable.
Forced the game to use my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU.
Adjusted DPI / scaling settings.
My system specifications are:
OS: Windows 11 Home, 64-bit
CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12650H, 2.70 GHz
RAM: 32 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
Despite these steps, the game still flashes a white screen for 1-2 seconds and then closes.
Could you please advise if there is a known solution for this issue, or if the game is compatible with my hardware configuration?

Have you played other Ren'Py games (many other visual novels)? I wonder if this is isolated to just Cosy Cafe, or Ren'Py in general. Checking my log file from a normal start, I see the same line about "Display Info: None", so that might not be the actual error.
However, on searching "renpy white screen crash" I found a renpy issue thread #6558 on github that mentioned this issue with NVidia xx60/xx70 cards running driver 576.xx or later. The NVidia tech mentioned that downgrading to 572.xx seemed to fix it, but personally that sounds more like a bandaid than a real fix. I didn't see a resolution for it in the thread. You mentioned being on a laptop, and it looks like you already tried to set Windows DPI/scaling to 100%. Did you try holding shift while opening the game to change renderers? Otherwise, I'm not really sure how to help.

Just finished my second play through. I really love this game! I can't wait for it to be updated! Some things I hope to see is the story to move to Sarah focused with a huge development in Catherine to tge point where we are almost in a relationship or in one. I hope Elizabeth is developed more. I also want to see Hannah come out of her shell. Im so excited for the next update! Anyone have a guess which women will take the final spots in the Harem? My guess is Elizabeth and Anabelle.
