0.12 to 0.13 will only work if you have 0.12. Best thing to do is probably download the full game, though you shouldn't have to start again as it will keep your saves, and even if it doesn't, if you start over you'll be able to start at any update you choose, no replaying required.
This game has one of the greatest stories I've ever seen/read in any video game, AVN or book, I cant wait for the next update I was left thinking about what would happen next with the founding families and some of the personal/family stories with the girls! Highly recommend this game

They are all individual parts, so to play part 1 you need part 1, etc. Saves don't transfer over, so when you move to the next part just click Start and the game will pick up immediately where the last one ended.
As said, they're seperate. You could literally download part 3, and jump head first into the story from there (obviously not recommended, but possible).
So uhh.... not that its a big issue, but is MC purposely written to be a selfish lover? The girls pleasure him almost every day, give into a majority of his whims, but other than the occasional fingering and penetration he.. kind of doesnt do much. He's not a bad guy but would it really kill him to go down on them once in a blue moon :D ?

to say I enjoyed it is downplaying it honestly. Im dealing with the dreaded book hangover now XD. Your writing is far and above a vast majority of other (A)VN's. I really hope to see this story reach a conclusion someday, even though I suspect you're not even a quarter of the way in currently.
I was curious about something though. In the story, when Akatsuki is under your desk, the story makes it seem like MC only took a picture of his dick to send to Akari. MC also mentions to himself that its impossible that Akari is not seeing Akatsuki from her angle, and the picture that he takes very obviously has Akatsuki in it, but later on its treated as if he just sent her a dickpic and nothing else (during the goth rating). Am I missing something here, is she purposely not adressing this, or is there an oversight here?
Ah, yeah that's come up a few times. My fault, really: Akatsuki wasn't in the photo (it's stated in the text that she pulls back out of shot), but I decided that most readers probably wouldn't really want to look at a dick pic without her in it, so I never showed it. But then not actually showing the photo resulted in the whole thing becoming a little vague.
well, there is an easy fix for that though. You could just replace the scene where you aim the phone at her with a scene where you see the MC sideways with Akari staring at him, smirking (maybe even cheekily hunching sideways to get a "better view"). But of course, it's a minor thing so going through all that effort for one scene likely isnt worth it.
Curious what on earth their entire family dynamic is though. Akatsuki knows about Misaki and Misaki knows about akatsuki, and they're fine with it. Akari knows about Akatsuki (at least that they're in a relationship, assuming she didnt see her directly under the desk).
Honestly with the way those Founding Families are written, Im surprised that entire city's family tree isnt just one big circle, so I guess this isnt too strange even for Akatsuki's family.
Incidentally, having a bio also include npc's and not just main characters/love interests is so helpful. Im terrible with names so being able to look up who is who from time to time really makes it feel more like a book as well.

I play all kinds of games, and sometimes I pick up an AVN. I’m not gonna lie, the adult content is usually the main reason, while the story is something I hope will be decent. In many cases it’s not. If the writing is dull or straight out boring, I usually lose interest quickly and drop the game.
Cosy Cafe did the exact opposite.
The story starts simple and grounded, but it’s paced really well and never felt boring to me. It takes time to set things up, but in a way that actually made me want to keep reading. Before I realized it, I was pulled into its world and I was genuinely looking forward to continuing whenever I had the chance.
What really makes this visual novel stand out is the characters and writing. The girls don’t feel like typical AVN characters. They feel human. They have their own insecurities, moods, strengths, flaws, and they don’t just exist around the MC. They interact with each other, sometimes they clash, sometimes they tease, sometimes they don’t like each other at first, and over time those relationships actually change. The group dynamic feels natural, like a real group of people with their habits and routines.
Some characters grow on you in unexpected ways. At first, they may seem like a flashy stereotype (which is probably why some players prefer the more shy or insecure characters) but then you notice the little things… like how they hold the group together, look out for others, or quietly act as a “protector”. Noticing that made me appreciate the writing even more. It’s rare for an AVN to make me care this much about how characters interact.
Another thing I really liked is how the game presents its characters visually. There are a lot of close-up shots where it feels like the character is right in front of you and you can see them blush, avoid eye contact when embarrassed or look straight at you during more serious moments. It sounds small, but it adds a lot to the feeling of closeness and emotional connection.
I honestly didn’t expect an AVN to make me laugh, get this emotionally invested or even tear up on more than one occasion, but Cosy Cafe did.
Cosy Cafe isn’t just a good AVN. It’s a genuinely memorable experience. If you care about strong characters and story alongside what this genre offers, I can’t recommend it enough.

When the time comes to end I hope it simply means onto another story. The work in this is amazing. Nevermore wawa my other go to but I was left crushed knowing it was left unfinished with no intention to finish. I now how something that I enjoy that i now know I will get to read to conclusion.

Whilst it does lack any freedom and you essentially are just reading along with the story; The story is great. I tend to prefer to have freedom to decide where to go and what to do. However, when the story is this well written, just go with the flow and enjoy the ride!

I just recently found out about Cosy Cafe within the last 2 months, and it has quickly become one of if not my favourite AVNs, the writing and development of the character is beautiful, I had no idea how much content I had ahead of me for 0.13.1 starting from the beginning for the first time but i was very happy with how much there was, I've basically only been playing Cosy Cafe for the last week or two because the story got me hooked and it was all I could think of even distracting me from other games I was playing (non AVN games), I love each of the girls and cant wait for more,
My only gripe is that in some of the more emotionally tense scenes where the girls are sad/scared/crying in your arms/presence the MC doesn't do stuff like reach out and touch/stroke their face as there were a few interactions with Lucy, Akatsuki, Sarah, Hannah and Catherine that could've benefited even if only slightly from a simple reassuring hand on their face to wipe away tears or gently have them face you.
Other than that minor gripe I think I might end up replaying the game again from the start since I doubt new content will be coming any time soon since 0.13 just came out this month and based off previous release post I can see its basically 2 updates a year and I need to drown my sorrows of just finding out 2 other AVN I recently found and fell in love with are basically stopping being made which is always sad to see when the story is great.
Keep up the good work Cozy Creator you blew me away and now have me hooked on your game
my expectations were pretty low at first, the background images of the cafe without any of the girls are low in quality to start off, but everything got a lot better once the cafe opened with both Lucy and Victoria, and the story became quite amazing from then on! I cant wait to see what happens after 0.13, I was kind of just guessing how many days the new update would last for compared to the last one, it was quite high quality this time compared to the start of the VN for sure!

i haven't played since ver0.10. i tried to replace by the patch 0.12->0.13 file. it doesn't work. i need to play from the beginning?
